About this Maui Hawaii Accommodations Site
Longtime Maui Hawaii resident, and former owner and Innkeeper of a Historic Heritage property, Cherie Attix tells her story of a life of sharing island lifestyle.
For two and a half decades I extended Ho'okipa—the offering of Hospitality—to island visitors through my bed and breakfast, the Hale Ho'okipa Inn.
I have been active in Real Estate on Maui since 2008 and offer this same level of professionalism and dedication to my Real Estate Clients. From raw land to luxury condos, starter, or second homes, I have successfully assisted Kama’aina (local residents) and Malahini (newcomers) with their purchases and sales of homes and land. My clients appreciate my market knowledge and island lifestyle experience.
I have been building, remodeling, and restoring homes on Maui for 25 years. My Real Estate clients have often tapped my experience and knowledge regarding their home renovations.
Historic preservation and restoration was my job and focus for many years. I restored 2 beautiful heritage homes on Maui and was a founding member and curator of the Makawao History Museum. Hawaii has a unique history and I feel privileged to have done my part in preservation efforts and successes.
Being an artist and printmaker, my inspiration comes from the natural splendor of our island home. Throughout the years, I have assisted friends, family, and clients with their interior designs and décor. Showcasing a home and preparing it for the market is a natural fit with my love for design and beauty.
My time and focus now center around Real Estate and Art, beach walks, and my wonderful family.
My latest print entitled, “The Art of Nesting” (right) pays homage to how I feel about coming home.
As we like to say, “Lucky We Live Hawaii.”
Aloha,
Cherie
